An adult gharial (aka gavial) can reach a length of nearly 20 feet, and weigh up to 350 pounds. This species of crocodilian eats only fish (the hooked teeth especially adapted for that diet) and has never been known to hunt humans. Still, I'd steer clear of that massive tail (can break a leg!) and wouldn't want to stick my hand down its mouth, LOL
The gharial gets its name from the Hindi word "ghar", meaning an earthenware pot. in reference to the lumpy protrusion at the tip of the male's snout.
