As the title, “Wildlife Artist” suggests, I draw, paint and sculpt animal subjects from small, quick sketches to detailed murals. I also make figurines, busts, reliefs, mobiles and dioramas. Generally, I work in pencil, inks watercolors, oil pastels and acrylic paints. Sculptures are in clay, papier mache, and other (mixed) media. Frequent themes or topics include: types of animals (classification or taxonomy), geographical (region or habitat) and time (of day), season, or periods in geological history (prehistoric life). Solo exhibits focus on any one of these particular recurring themes. I enjoy taking on commissioned projects.
